Our Wedding 10-28-01 at The Castle in Raymond MS It was a wonderful wedding; family and friends came. Of course quite a few from WLBT came as they wanted to be sure we really did it after all. We were our first loves at E.E. Bass Jr. High. When we both hit bumps in our marriages at the same time, we decided it was meant to be. Jo was in Ft. Smith AR, and I was in Jackson. After 10 months of a long-distance relationship I decided to go get her. We have been very happy. Coach Dunaway called us the "Love Birds". We stayed in touch with him until his death. What a wonderful man! |

Alaska - August, 2008 It was just great going from Jackson's 103° weather and going to 60° weather. We had 48 people with us. We all had so much fun and felt like we had all become one happy family. I host these trips with WLBT. Last year we went to Canada. The 1st part of the trip to Alaska was a cruise on the Norwegian Sun. We will tell all about it as long as anyone will listen. |

Jo hung out with this guy while I took pictures and video of the trip. He sure didn't have much to say, haha. |

It's been a long time since GHS, but things I learned there come in handy every time I do my job, in spite of my protesting at the time that I'd never use any of that stuff in real life. Not all that long ago, I married my first love from E.E. Bass, Jo Alice Marshall. Only now she's simply "Jo." We're best friends as well as travel partners and probably appreciate each other more than if we'd been together all along. We're just as determined to enjoy life every day as life is determined to keep us from enjoying it. Doesn't always work, but at least that's the goal. Better than just getting knocked around by the flow with no alternative plan. I'm fortunate that I get to make a living from my hobbies, but my REAL hobby is sitting and doing not much of nuthin' when I'm not working. But Jo says if that's true, then what are all of those old radios and records doing stuffed in every room? Then there's the kids and grand kids which are better told about in person! (Jo has plenty of photos.) |
